An anthem about deliverance…

I’ll be honest—the hymnal version of this song never really spoke to me until I paused to reflect on the words and how deeply they applied to my life. I began writing this arrangement during a season of personal turmoil and completed the recording once the storms had finally settled. In many ways, this song became my anthem. At times, I felt abandoned by God in the hardest moments of my life. But as I reached a place of peace—where I could finally see '“the sun in the calm lake mirrored”—I recognized that it was my Savior who had guided me through the tempest and safely into still waters.
