The story of how this came to be…

I’m not gonna lie. I never gravitated to this hymn until I thought about the text and how applicable it was to my life. I began writing this during a time of turmoil and finished recording it when the storms of life had settled. This sing tells my story and became a theme song for me! I felt abandoned by God during the worst moments of my life until finally, after getting to a place where I could see the “sun in the calm lake mirrored,” I realized that my Savior navigated me out of those waters and took me to a place of peace.
